Giving Back: The Flood Sisters Kidney Foundation of America

April is Organ Donor Awareness Month-celebrate with The Flood Sisters Kidney Foundation of America at our 3rd Annual Love.Give.Life. Fashion Show, April 26, Trump Tower, NYC 8-11pm.

We spoke with Cynthia Flood to learn more about the efforts of the foundation and why you need to get involved!

"My sisters and I helped save our father from kidney disease in 2008, when we "thought outside the box" and posted an ad on craigslist.org for a living kidney donor. We were not matches for our father, so we reached out to the universe. After a year and four months, over one hundred responses nationwide, an unknown woman from California was a perfect match for our father and she saved his life. From there, our non-profit organization, The Flood Sisters Kidney Foundation of America was born."

"Today, we provide matching services to those in need nationwide. We saved a total of six lives and we are now working with the celebrity actress, Odette Annable, in finding her aunt a living kidney donor. We love what we do and we would like to help save more lives through spreading awareness."
