In The Drivers Seat: Interior Innovations

Sometimes it is all about whats on the inside...even when it comes to cars. Stopping and taking a closer look at the Auto Show resulting in spotting these interior innovations. 

Cockpit design continues to evolve, as we saw within this range of twin-cockpit interiors. The disappearance of the manual shifter, together with the consolidation of controls into touchscreens, means that center consoles are slimming down, or almost disappearing. Now however, center consoles are becoming feature elements‚ or the main areas of interior storage. This means that, in many designs, the center section has grown, creating a split-cockpit feel, which in some cases is emphasized by the form or detailing of the dashboard.
