EverSoPopular's Never-Ending Summer With The 2014 Nissan Rogue
Inspired by the aptly named 2014 Nissan Rogue I decided to do something a little different than a typical test drive. Generally, I like to get on the street, highways and incorporate a vehicle in my everyday life and/or take a trip.
This time I decided to use a day to just go rouge. I ran some errands but the weather was so nice that I decided to take a trip to the beach! I headed to Brooklyn for a visit to Coney Island.
Lets talk about some of may favorite features of the Rogue.
The newest is Nissan’s Smart Rearview Mirror, the world’s first LCD monitor that helps provide clear rearward visibility unimpeded by traditional obstacles such as cargo, tall passengers, inclement weather or the design of a vehicle. It allows the driver to switch between the LCD monitor and the traditional rearview mirror, depending on the driver’s preference.
The Smart Rearview Mirror is housed within the structure of the traditional rearview mirror, with a built-in LCD monitor that can be activated in place of the conventional mirror. A high-resolution camera mounted on the rear of the vehicle provides the driver with a clear, unobstructed view of the rear flanks, circumventing traditional rearview obstructions such as the vehicle’s C-pillars and allowing the driver to feel more confident when maneuvering in a variety of traffic conditions.
The camera projects a clear image – a wider and clearer view than a standard mirror - onto the monitor for a better view, as well as a more comfortable driving experience.
A switch function, operated by a control located at the bottom of the mirror, allows the driver to access either the traditional rearview mirror system or the Smart Rearview Mirror.
I appreciated the spacious interior, as a tall woman its nice to have sufficient leg room in a vehicle (as a driver and passenger).
There was also extra storage space that was thoughtfully designed with mobile technology in mind. Something a person who travels with multiple gadgets would appreciate.
I was able to keep my creature comforts close by even while on the road! That make me a happy gal!
Once I arrived at Coney Island it was time to take in all the fun at Luna Park! They've got a bunch of fun rides.
My favorites include: The Cyclone, Boardwalk Flight, Coney Island Raceway - Go-Kart Track, Slingshot, Zenobio and more.
Daytime quickly turns to night and the boardwalk is still the place to be. Full of people watching and yummy eats.
The best place to be at sunset is in one of the swinging cabins at the top of Wonder Wheel!
If you could Go Rogue, where would you go?
