Gilded Inspiration At Tadashi Shoji S/S 2015 #NYFW

Backstage today at Tadashi Shoji, butter LONDON’s Global Colour Ambassador, Katie Jane Hughes created fashion-forward nail looks that compliment S/S 2015 collections.

The Scoop: Built on water and steeped in beauty, the Golden Palace of Venice is our destination. The collection is full of intricate detailing paired with playful transparencies. The colors of Venice inspire the palette – glowing pastels of frosted jade, pink shadow and blue stone are built up in layers.

The Nail Look: Here’s how Katie created the look.

1.       Apply butter LONDON Nail Foundation mixed with the new butter LONDON Nail Lacquer in High Tea (available 2015) to create a clean, nude base.

2.       Use butter LONDON Nail Lacquer in The Full Monty applied with the Striping Brush (available in the butter LONDON Colour Hardwear Nail Art Tool Kit) to create a diagonal mesh-like pattern.
