Red Carpet Moments In Las Vegas: HBO Doc 'The Latin Explosion: A New America'

Screening and soundtrack release event for the HBO documentary film THE LATIN EXPLOSION: A NEW AMERICA, brought out all of the glitz and glam to kickoff Latin Grammy week in Las Vegas.

There are more than 50 million Latinos now living in the United States. THE LATIN EXPLOSION explores how the growing Latino community is impacting American culture. Celebrating the music, artists and visionaries, the film, created by legendary entertainment exec Tommy Mottola and narrated by the Ghetto Clown himself, John Leguizamo features a star studded array of artists including Marc Anthony, Gloria and Emilio Estefan, José Feliciano, Eva Longoria, George Lopez, Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, Rita Moreno, Pitbull, Romeo Santos, Shakira, Thalía, Sofía Vergara and more.

Inspired by the HBO Documentary Film, the accompanying album executive produced and created by Tommy Mottola is scheduled to be released by Sony Music Latin on December 4, and it includes hits by Marc Anthony, Gloria Estefan, Shakira, Jennifer Lopez and many more influential Latin artists who have contributed to the new American sound.

Executive Producer Tommy Mottola together with HBO, Sony Music Latin and The Latin Recording Academy®, hosted the event’s star-studded guest list attracting some of the industry’s top personalities. Attendees included, Wisin, Victor Manuelle, Leslie Grace, Il Volo, Alexis y Fido, Raquel Sofia, and more.

Starting with a red-carpet arrival at 7 p.m., the screening and soundtrack party featured Latin music’s biggest stars and Latin GRAMMY® Award nominees mingling with each other while enjoying the sultry soundtrack of The Latin Explosion.
