Ah spring, the season that makes us wake up earlier, take longer walks, and simply smell the flowers. Take this time to indulge yourself in some at home treatments that will make you feel simply rejuvenated and ready for a new season.

The winter months are harsh on everyone’s skin. There are many do-it-yourself facial recipes available online that will make your face feel as smooth as a professional treatment.

Easy DIY treatments:

Cleansing Mask: Try grinding up some oatmeal, add a splash of milk or spoonful of yogurt, and lather onto the face and let sit for 15 minutes.

Ingredient list: oatmeal, milk and yogurt

Makeup Remover: Use organic coconut oil to remove even the most stubborn of makeup (waterproof eyeliner anyone?) Coconut oil doubles as anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. It can also be used as a moisturizing base for foundations and concealers.

Ingredient list: organic coconut oil

For Locks that Rock: Get rid of product buildup by sprinkling a small amount (quarter-size) of Baking Soda into your palm along with your favorite shampoo.. Shampoo as usual and rinse thoroughly. Baking Soda helps remove the residue that styling products leave behind so your hair is cleaner and more manageable.

Ingredient List: Baking Soda and your own shampoo

Overnight Hair Treatment: Overnight hair mask with avocado and banana mashed together. Curl hair up in a tight bun, and wrap the entire head in a plastic grocery bag. Wash and condition the next morning, and rinse with apple cider vinegar for incredible shine. (The smell vanishes when it dries.)

Ingredient List: Avocado, Banana, Apple Cider Vinegar
