Remix It: Update Your Home Decor With Kleenex #KleenexBetseyStyle

Hey guys! Did you know April is National Decorating Month? I wanted to share with you some ways to remix your space using items you already have at home. I decided to update my 'shoe wall' inspiration area. Instead of just having a mood board with pictures I keep the jewelry on display and other items that inspire me.

So when Kleenex announced their collaboration with Betsey Johnson I was so excited I wanted to do a cartwheel!  When they asked me to share ways to remix the  Betsey Johnson “Ready to Care” Collection I wanted to do a split.

I've been a fan of Betsey Johnson since I was a teenager and would visit her stores in NYC. As a 'grown-up' I've attended her runway shows and have interviewed the legendary designer herself!

Want to know more about the collection? The new “Ready to Care” Collection includes the following designs:

Zip It: “Rock on” with this bold design featuring Betsey’s most wild prints.

Kiss Me: This design is sprinkled with vintage floral and sealed with a kiss from Betsey.

I Heart Betsey: If you’re mad for mod, channel your inner flower child with this design.

Seeing Spots: This print brings an animal magnetism to your décor. It’s a classic Betsey print

These new designs by Betsey Johnson are meant to inspire personal expression – from customizing boxes with your own chic touch, to giving you new ways to share Kleenex brand products in your life, whether it’s at home or on the go.

The fashion-forward designs infuse bold, bright colors, so why not translate these fun vibes into your home? This tissue box acts as art, so make a statement with this design in every room.

ince this packaging itself is also multi-purpose and can be used in traditional ways, like blotting makeup, or in untraditional ways, such as using the box as a mail organizer or makeup holder.

I used 2 boxes to help amp up this space for spring. For the first creation, I used the Kiss Me box design, which had the Betsey floral pattern and the kiss print pattern on the same box.

This is the easiest for anyone to do! I simply cut the box open using a sharp scissors and then clean up the edges with a paper trimmer (optional). I also used one piece of 8X10 felt (also used in the other project) cut to measure to it the frame.

Then simply trimming to fit the size of a photo frame. I received this pretty jeweled frame a long time ago, but its been sitting in my closet. For the acrylic block frame, I picked this up in a craft store. Viola!

My 2nd remix: A ring organizer! I love funky, statement pieces so why not keep them on display. Want an easy way to do it? For this I used the Zip It style box and a few other items: felt (the remainder of the sheet), 3 toilet paper rolls, and bejeweled trim (optional).

Cut off one side of the box to open, then trim an extra third off this will make it easier to reach inside the box. Next, cut the felt to wrap an cover the toilet paper roll. You can use tape or a hot glue gun to secure the felt. Place the 3 cover TP rolls inside, they should fit snugly inside, but not pop out! Next, add decorative trim (optional), this can also visually correct any unevenness! Tada!

I'm so proud of my remixes and I want you to share yours with me! To find Betsey Johnson designs at the nearest participating retailers, visit Kleenex.com/Betsey.
