This year I am excited share that I have to teamed up with A Girls Guide to Cars. I will be attending the Auto Show during the media preview days and be joining A Girls Guide to Cars Girl's Night Out event to share what you need to see during the show this year!

The New York International  Auto Show (NYIAS), now in it's 118th year, is an awesome combination of new ideas, technological innovation, exceptional concept cars and nearly 1,000 of the latest new cars and trucks. Over one million visitors are expected to visit the show this year to see what is truly possible from the automotive industry.NYIAS is the perfect place to shop for a new vehicle. Why? Not only can you see a variety of cars from top automakers but you can get a closer look with ZERO sales pressure.

Are you excited for the NYIAS? As a regular attendee I look for trends on the show floor. Here are some things I am looking foward to:

  • SUVs and Crossovers: The 2019 Lexus UX Crossover. Lexus is making big moves into this space with the all-new UX compact luxury crossover. One of the major highlights goes beyond the elegance and style. The UX will offer the Lexus Safety System+ as standard equipment. It includes advanced safety technologies including Lane Tracing Assist, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Automatic High Beams, Road Sign Assist and a Pre-Collision System that can recognize pedestrians at night.  Additionally, PCS radar capability has been extended to enable detection of cyclists during the day – road users who are involved in a high number of traffic accidents.

  • Art in unexpected places: The debut of the Lexus UX in North America will be marked by a unique piece of urban artwork commissioned by Lexus in collaboration with RxArt, a non-profit organization that helps children deal with serious illnesses by bringing art to their hospital spaces. Noted Brooklyn artist, Daniel Heidkamp, will produce the work that will be displayed alongside the UX at an event prior to the New York auto show. After the show, Heidkamp’s work will be repurposed for display at the Hassenfield Children’s Hospital at NYU Lagone.
  • Technology & Cars: Get a closer look inside at the smart tech that makes driving easier. Like in the all-new 2019 Corolla Hatchback! Yes, the 2019 Corolla Hatchback is built for play, with an all new 2.0 L Dynamic Shift CVT, available Intelligent Manual Transmission, and standard Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa!

  • The Unveils: No one does a big buzzy announcement and reveals like a car show! One of the ones I am most excited about is the 2019 RAV4. They haven't made a big splash at the show since '94...the 90's are back so let's see whats new!

Are you excited for all this newness?
