Gearing Up: Nike Introduces Spring 2011 Running Collection

With marathon season in full swing, we caught a runners and high and got inspired to start running. Now the question is what to wear? A few words come to mind: light, fit, dry, support, comfort and performance! We previewed the latest Nike Spring 2011 Running Collection. Below you will find a sneak-peek into Nike’s latest running innovations.

Nike Air Max 2011+
Just when people thought it couldn’t get any more comfortable, the Air Max 2011 surprises everyone. It still has the same soft, reliable cushioning from heel to toe that runners expect, but they also get a track-spike inspired upper with Nike Hyperfuse technology-for better support, more ventilation and a seamless fee with less weight.
 
LunarElite+2
The latest LunarElite+ is lighter, more flexible and better fitting. It kept the same responsive cushioning in Dynamic Support and provides runners a smoother ride by giving them the right amount of stability the foot needs. Flywire technology draws the shoe’s upper securely around the foot and flex grooves along the bottom of the shoe increases flexibility for a smooth transition from heel to toe.
 
Nike LunarHaze+
The new member of the Dynamic Support line of footwear, the LunarHaze+ is light, strong and highly breathable. The new Hyperfuse upper comfortably supports the foot on long hauls, but is light and flexible enough for a fast run. The soft, springy cushioning and Dynamic Support underfoot ensures that runners have all the comfort and stability they need.
 
Nike Zoom SuperFly
Drawing upon years of inspiration and knowledge, Nike designers have created the latest, most powerful speed spikes. Strong enough to withstand the forces sprinters put on them while accelerating; the Zoom SuperFly’s stiff spike plate delivers the ultimate traction for the ultimate acceleration. Strong, lightweight Nike Hyperfuse latticework on the upper secures and supports the foot. Forefront strap locks the foot over the spike plate for maximum power transfer.

Nike Cyclone
The new Nike Cyclone Jacket looks unlike anything runners have seen before. The spots inside the jacket work to move sweat away from the body and keep the fabric from sticking to the skin, keeping runners dry and comfortable. The durable lightweight ripstop fabric provides protection against wind and light rain. If the weather turns nice, runners can simply stuff away the whole jacket into the chest pocket.
 

Nike Phantom Vapor
The only time a runner should notice a jacket is when it’s keeping him/her warm and dry. Every detail of the Phantom Vapor- from the soft, breathable, ultralight fabric to the ergonomic design to the zippers and pockets- is designed to eliminate distractions. Featherweight fabrics treated with a breathable water-repellent treatment helps keep runners dry and comfortable while allowing sweat to escape.
