Makers of Magnum Condoms and Ludacris Search for America’s Next Hip-Hop Star
It’s time to show off your “gold standard” skills -- the Magnum Live Large Project 2 has officially begun. Ludacris and Magnum condoms are teaming up for a nationwide search for the best underground hip-hop artists in the country through regional events and a YouTube contest.
Beginning today, aspiring hip-hop artists can head tohttp://www.youtube.com/magnumlivelarge for a chance to show off their skills by uploading a video of themselves performing a Magnum-themed "16 bar" verse. The submission period runs from today until April 13, at which point fans across the country can go to the channel and vote for their favorite hip-hop hopefuls.
This year, Magnum is also going local, hosting rap battles in four major cites (Detroit, San Francisco, Miami and NYC) in pursuit of 4 emcees who embody the gold standard. The four regional winners plus the YouTube contest winner will comprise the “Magnum Live Large League” and will receive $5,000 cash and the opportunity to appear on stage alongside Ludacris at one of the country’s biggest music events, Spring Fest in Miami.
For the second year in a row, Ludacris will be partnering with the Magnum Live Large Project.
