Haute Hair for Spring 2012

Just secure hair in a ponytail, tease at the top, twist once near the base, and clip at the nape of the your neck for a pony pouf. Looking for something more artistic like the sculpted look at YSL- Create a large bun and secure with Gold Barrettes all around the base.

One of Spring’s top hair trends was wash and go. Have amazing natural texture? Wash hair, put in styling cream, and fasten with a Goody DoubleWear Elastic, $5.99, Target, like at Diesel Black Gold. Once your hair is dry, unleash and put the elastic on your wrist for a chic bangle look.

Looking for a dramatic look for your next evening out or black tie affair? Get inspired by the “nests” created at Jason Wu Spring 2012. Particularly vibrant on fair hair, pin pieces up with black bobby pins like Goody ColourCollection Bobby Pins, $4.29, Wal-Mart. For extra pizazz, purchase black feathers from a craft store, and secure with the bobbies.

 For a twist on an elegant 20’s inspired updo Armani Spring 2012 fastened hair in a series of knots along with a deep side part. To create these mini top knots, twist two inch sections of hair and fasten with Goody Clear Mary Elastic, $3.29, drugstores, for a secure and invisible hold.
