F/W 2012 Personal Style: Back to Black

Being a native New Yorker my closets are brimming with black clothing. I've actively sought out pops of color for spring and summer and had fun in neons and brights even being featured on TV in China for my color infused style.

As I turned the pages of Vogue I noticed while warmer and more earthy colors are in trend for fall many of the models in ads or editorials were in head to toe black. Yes, some looks featured gilded brocades on black or classic graphic b&w. The most prominent looks were simple unabashed silhouettes in solid black

Fendi and J Brand featured cool dark grey looks. Black was on display in ads from Donna Karen, Bottega Veneta, Versace, ICB, Ralph Lauren, DVF and Nine West.
