Listen Up: Janelle Monáe Track from ‘The Electric Lady’ Target Deluxe Album

We all love a good exclusive and this one, you might say, is electric! It’s been three years since we’ve heard new tracks from one of our favorite CoverGirls, Janelle Monáe, but she’s back with her sophomore studio album, “The Electric Lady.”

Today, the tuxedo-clad singer announced a Target deluxe exclusive edition of the album featuring four bonus songs “HYTB,” “I Want You Back” (Jackson 5 cover), “Q.U.E.E.N.” (remix) and “The Electric Lady” (remix).

“Teaming up with Target is an incredible moment for me to share more of my music,” says Janelle. “I’ve worked really hard on this album, and can’t wait for my fans to hear it!”

Launching Sept. 10, Janelle’s new album features collaborations with greats like Erykah Badu, Miguel and the music legend Prince.

Today, June 28, Janelle will perform one of the Target exclusive songs on BET’s “106 & Park”… but we can’t wait that long! Take an exclusive first listen to “Dance Apocalyptic” below and tune in to see her sure-to-be electric performance.
