Sam’s Club Focuses on Women’s Health Awareness for October Free Health Screening Event

Whether you are a stay-at-home mom, a businesswoman or both, it is crucial to understand the importance of whole-body health. This year, Sam’s Clubs nationwide are offering free women’s health screenings and affordable immunizations to members and non-members who want to take a proactive stance on their wellbeing.

An information booth at a free health screening at Sam In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, women’s health screenings will take place on Saturday, October 12 from 11a.m. to 3p.m. Screenings are free and available to the public at all Sam’s Club locations with a pharmacy. Sam’s Club will give away more than 25,000 breast self-exam kits at the screenings, and will conduct preventive TSH tests which measure thyroid hormone levels in women. Overall, the free screening is valued at up to $200.

PillStackSam’s Club knows that whole-body health is essential for women to be their best, most-successful selves. As another resource for women’s wellness, Sam’s Club Pharmacies are offering ten important immunizations to members and non-members age 18 and older including, flu shots and HPV immunizations. Competitive prices for immunizations are offered at each location and most insurance providers are accepted.

As part of the day’s preventive health screenings, Sam’s Club will give away more than 25,000 breast self-exam kits. Sam’s Club will also be conducting preventive thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) testing that measures thyroid hormone levels in women and identifies overactive and underactive thyroid glands, which can be the root of various health problems. The free health screening event features tests valued up to $200, including:

· Take-home breast self-exam gel packs

· TSH testing

· Blood pressure

· Total Cholesterol

· HDL (good cholesterol)

· Glucose

· Body mass index

· Vision (Not available in all locations)
