I don’t know about you but I’ve been so frustrated by my mobile service provider lately that I’ve been contemplating making a big switch. I am looking for something that almost doesn’t exist anymore an affordable ‘Unlimited Talk Text and Data/Web’

The idea of breaking a contract or purchasing a mobile device for full retail value is cost prohibitive…perhaps until now. With tax season here, I realized my refund may help me make the switch.  I did my homework and realized the best value for me would be going without a contract, but that leaves you with the burden of the cost of a mobile phone. I budgeted $200 for this new phone. Under the Walmart Family Mobile Plan, Galaxy Exhibit phone (retails for 98.88), leaving me $100 for accessories, apps and phone extras!

What a great way to treat yourself! The fact that you can purchase a variety of smart phones for under $100 is great, especially if you don’t have the budget for a more expensive phone and plan. The great news is with the price of the Walmart Family Mobile plans you can really #MaxYourTax  while connecting with loved ones near and far.

This time around I didn’t buy many accessories because I already have many that work with the awesome Samsung Galaxy Exhibit smartphone and plan. I do strongly recommend a Bluetooth headset device for drivers (sometimes our cars aren’t as smart as our phones) or a car mount for easy, hands-free communication.  Also a mobile phone armband is a great way to listen to tunes, keep track of miles on a running app, and stay hands free on a run! 

There are so many handy accessories I have that this time it wasn’t about extra gadgets, it was all about apps.  Here is how I put that ‘extra’ refund money to use.

The fact that I came in under budget and lowered my monthly bill (compared to my previous carrier) I was able to do some other upgrades like subscribe to my favorite magazines like Latina others so that it comes straight to my phone every month. No more lugging those print magazines to the airport or wishing I had something to read in line at the DMV or waiting room! I hope I made my family and #CollectiveBias happy with the results!
