Fashion Launch: Lane Bryant Collaboration With Isabel Toledo

Lane Bryant hosted their first ever designer runway show toshowcase the retailer's collaboration with Isabel & Ruben Toledo.

The showtook place at the iconic Seagram Building, located in New York City. EverSoPopular was among on the list along with editorsfrom the nation's top publications andindustry VIP's.

The collection was designedbased on an ideal held by Isabel, that when a person feels great in what theyare wearing, they become unstoppable.

Portions of both the Spring & Fall collection were shown. Models walkedthe runway in sheath dresses and coats adorned in Isabel's signature patterns,tunics, and expertly draped cocktail dresses.

Designs were presented in black,white, hues of gold and soft grey. Pieces were color blocked and complimentedwith hints of patterns displayed through the entire collection.

The couturedesigner and tailor extraordinaire famously dressed First Lady Michelle Obamafor the President's first inauguration. Her design for the First Lady was such asuccess, Isabel knew she had to integrate the coat and dress into thiscollection for Lane Bryant.
Isabel Toledo says, "Dressing a Lane Bryant customerwas not any different than dressing my own customers because I have women of allsizes that wear Isabel Toledo."

Isabel Toledo approaches the design process as a combination of engineeringand poetry. She says, "All that experimentation, at one point you want to see itin a big way," adding, "to be able to apply everything I've learned to LaneBryant is a dream."

Isabel's spring collection for Lane Bryant is currently instores and available to shop online. Price points range from $60.00 for herT-shirt design to $178.00 for a trench.
