The word “busy” is an understatement for many women. Often begging the questions: how do you take care of yourself, feel beautiful, and rested?

Today we’re spotlighting Michele Hall-Duncan, President & CEO Michele of enCourage Kids. For more than two decades she has cultivated strong relationships with the child life community and all levels of healthcare administration, as well as a comprehensive, integral understanding of trends in creative therapies while identifying and meeting the needs of our hospital partners. These attributes have helped Michele position enCourage Kids to be on the forefront of state-of-the-art programming in pediatric healthcare.

Since Hall-Duncan is a mom with a full career we had to ask her to share her beauty & wellness secrets.

EverSoPopular: What’s your top beauty tip?

Michele Hall-Duncan: I have a pretty simple beauty regimen that starts with the most important product:  water.  I’m a firm believer in water being the foundation of great skin and I try to drink a good amount each day. I even have the app on my phone to remind me because as my staff and son will attest, I can easily forget when I get busy.

ESP: What products are in your skincare routine?

Michele Hall-Duncan: I look for products that work for my skin, not just what’s trending. I use a mix of inexpensive products like Avalon Organics Intense Defense Cleansing Gel with Vitamin C and department store moisturizer like Kiehl’s Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate. One must-have product I keep in my purse is Laneige Lip Mask, and I use it faithfully, especially in the winter. I love facials and wish I could get them more often! I just started using Black Girl Sunscreen, a broad-spectrum sunscreen that leaves no residue on browner skin. It’s light enough to use every day, and so far, I love it.

ESP: What are your tips for haircare?

Michele Hall-Duncan: I cut my hair last summer, going shorter than I have been in decades, and I go back and forth between straightening my hair and keeping my natural curls. No matter how I style it, I use Pattern products by Tracee Ellis Ross. They smell really great and moisturize my hair really well.

ESP: What are some of your makeup favorites?

Michele Hall-Duncan: I don't wear make-up that often, but when I do, it's usually MAC. I love their lip colors and lip glosses, especially Ruby Woo and Oh Baby. Whenever possible, if I need to get glammed up for a special occasion, I rely on the experts to work their magic, and it’s worth every penny! My make-up artist of choice is Jon Suazo, who works at Glow Beauty Bar in Cranford, NJ. He is truly amazing and a sweetheart. So, if you ever see photos of me from our Gala or other fundraising events and my make-up is perfection, you can bet I have him to thank!
