Travel Style: One Day in Los Angeles
I’ve been traveling a lot this summer! I was invited to cover some events in Cali had a day to explore Santa Monica and snap some pix from around town.
This New Yorker wore a chic black Michael Kors maxi (I got from Neiman Marcus), comfy wedges, fun accessories including my Versace sunnies, G-Shock watch & favorite beach/travel/everything bag Rabeanco Lucia in purple for a color pop!
Here are some of the places I got to check out:
Third Street Promenade
One of my favorites in Santa Monica is the world famous Third Street Promenade. It’s filled with three blocks of pedestrian-only alfresco entertainment, dining and shopping.
Next up, the Santa Monica Pier.
The iconic, 100-year-old wooden pier and amusement park juts out 1,600 feet into the Pacific Ocean just two blocks from our front doors. Take in a dazzling array of entertainment, dining and shopping options. Ride a historic Carousel and exciting Pacific Park thrill rides or play in the arcade. Explore the wonders of the ocean in the aquarium. Or simply wander among the street performers, artists and musicians - easily some of the quirkiest characters you'll ever meet on land or sea.
Santa Monica Muscle Beach
The original Santa Monica Muscle Beach – an outdoor, beachside facility with a range of workout equipment – was made famous by Jack LaLanne, the godfather of physical fitness. Enjoy fabulous sightseeing with this fabulous SantaMonica travel attraction.
Main Street
Main Street is an eclectic, vibrant Santa Monica shopping and dining district. It is filled with stores, restaurants and boutiques that offer an unusual mix of old fashioned charm and high end shopping with an urban twist.
Much love to the West Coast!
See you soon!
