Afro-Latina Beauty: Arlenis Sosa

Last night we caught up with the beautiful Dominican-born Lancôme spokesmodel Arlenis Sosa on the red carpet at the New Yorkers for Children 2013 Fall Gala to benefit youth in foster care.  "It was such an honor to be a part of the New Yorkers for Children Gala last night.  One of the main reasons is because I believe it is important to give back to those who need help and support,” says Sosa.  “Coming from a developing country, I know what it is like to live in a place where some kids do not go to school because their parents could not afford it.  There, education is considered a luxury.  I was particularly moved to see New Yorkers for Children fighting for this right for all.”

Sosa’s long, berry-colored dress was accompanied by a natural look created by Lancôme National Makeup Artist Tarek Abbas.  A high ponytail allowed her fresh, youthful face to stand center stage.  “My inner glow radiated outwards and I felt stunning in my new Lancôme Artliner 24-hour Eyeliner which perfectly accented my skin tone," says Sosa.

To recreate this look, follow these steps using products from Lancôme:

1. After cleansing skin apply DreamTone Serum to even out the skin tone.  “I highly recommend this product because it not only corrects imperfections but it also acts as a fantastic foundation primer,” says Abbas.
