My New York Fashion Week: The Colgate Optic Lounge @OpticWhite

During Fashion Week there are lots of shows…300+ to be conservative! It’s my job to go backstage and score interviews with designers, celebs, models, hair stylist, makeup artists, nail techs and document all the back of house happenings for some of your fave magazines and websites. I love it! BUT its exhausting and logistics prevent you from getting to see and do everything you want and need to. STRESS-management is the name of the game oh and powder, especially when you’re on camera!

That’s why I seek refuge at a few of the lounges set up for celebs and fashion week VIP’s.

This season The Colgate Optic White Beauty Bar returned to New York to serve as the ultimate oasis for celebrities and media during this year’s Fashion Week. Top stylists, makeup artists, and manicurists will gathered at Salon Ziba, New York’s “go-to” glam spot where guests got red carpet and party ready with complimentary services including: a make-up station with an emphasis on lipsticks to help guests find their whitest smile.

I got my nails done by CND one of my favorites beauty brands at fashion week.

The ColgateOptic White Beauty Bar is a haven where guests got to relax, enjoy cocktails and appetizers while indulging in the latest must-have products including:  Keratin Complex who provided celebrities and VIPs with a dry bar, style bar and braid bar; Tim Hortons Café & Bake Shop, provided guests with coffee and their newest Gluten Free Coconut Macaroon; Satya Jewelry, showcased their beautiful, meaningful, and inspiring jewelry from the Fall Peacock Collection & Winter Solstice Collection; Skinnygirl Daily, shared their delicious and healthy snack bars, with an interactive game and samples for guests; Tide Pods highlighted “#FashionsThatPop” with product samples for guests inside and outside the salon as well as sponsoring a POP treat station with custom “poptails” and popcorn; Gardein (garden+protein) who will be sweeped fashionistas off their meat with delicious healthy and meat-free light bites, and Zindigo.com, the world’s largest boutique for shopping on Facebook was also in attendance.

Additional brands on-site include: 16 Handles who served their tasty Peach Sangria Sorbetto and All-Natural Tahitian Vanilla Bean flavors; Bantam Bagels, the hottest new artisanal bagel balls in New York City, Tia Maria provided delicious espresso cocktails for attendees, and Strongbow provided guests with refreshing hard cider over ice.

The Colgate Optic White Beauty Bar brought out the celebs in a big way. I saw many familiar famous faces on the step and repeat as I got my hair braided.

Then I spotted Alisa Reiner (in one of my favorite shows: Orange is the New Black) stopped into get a blow out at the Colgate Beauty Bar sponsored by TidePods. The actress also rocked some Satya Jewelry from the new peacock collection!
