fsfwnyss34com-nyfw-ss-2014-herve-leger06A celeb style staple, Herve Leger by Max Azria is worn by the sexiest women on the planet including: Sofia Vergara, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Christina Aguilera, Fergie and Demi Lovato… to name a few.

This season we spotted more than the ubiquitous dark colored bandage dresses on the runway. “We used more color, compared to what you usually see in an Herve Leger collection, which is a lot of black, we used white, beige, and blue for this collection,” shares Herve Leger designer Max Azria. The colors and prints in the collection are reflected in the beauty look for the show. Here is how to get the look of the Herve Leger girl.

This season models walked down the runway to the beat of tribal drums with sun-kissed skin and tousled hair.

She’s docked in Ibiza just about to leave the yacht and go for cocktails," says Val Garland lead artist for Sephora Pro. fsfwnyss34com-nyfw-ss-2014-herve-leger01To get dewy looking skin, Garland applied Josie Maran argan oil with moisturizer before Marc Jacobs foundation. A bronzer was used under cheek bones followed by apricot color on cheeks and lips. For eyes Garland used a Marc Jacobs liner on top of the lash line and blended it in for a soft smoky eye and lots of mascara on bottom lashes to create shadow.

The major beauty takeaway for Spring 2014: less is more. “There’s an emphasis on subtlety. When it comes to eye detail or lip detail there’s a transparency. The lip is stained, not a lipstick, it’s more of a blurred line,” predicts Garland.
fsfwnyss34com-nyfw-ss-2014-herve-leger18On nails, simplicity is trending too. Lead nail artist, Renee Meyers created a nail look using OPI’s Barre My Soul, a muddy pink that leaves a sheer shine on nail. Expect to see lots of multicolor French mani’s. “I’ve been seeing a lot of colored French manicures. Neutral color on body of nail then different color on tips like red, black, navy, green or white as the base and black as the French tip,” shares Meyers.
fsfwnyss34com-nyfw-ss-2014-herve-leger03For the hair, it’s sleek and smooth on the top with loose drier waves in the back. “When you see the hair you will think St. Tropez,” says Laurent Philippon lead hairstylist for Bumble & Bumble. Philippon created a soft wave in the back of the hair with a curling iron and styling it with Bumble and Bumble’s mousse mixed with gel to get the perfect hold. “It’s effortless, but chic. There is a sensual and summery vibe to this look.”
